Written Assignments
All units are internally assessed through written assignments, internally marked by the Qualifi approved centre and subject to external quality assurance by Qualifi.
Qualifi provides assessment tasks for each unit. These tasks address the relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria and may require learners to draw on work-related information, real organisational examples, case studies, research and investigation. Some assessment tasks may also contain a practical element requiring observation by an assessor.
Because learners complete six mandatory units and a minimum of two optional units, a learner completing the qualification is assessed across at least eight units. Written assignments are therefore completed across all required units, with any additional practical evidence depending on the assessment requirements of the selected units.
The grading structure is:
- Fail: 0 to 39%
- Pass: 40 to 59%
- Merit: 60 to 69%
- Distinction: 70% and above
University Progression
Successful completion of the Qualifi Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership enables learners to progress to the Qualifi Level 8 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership, university study to complete a Master's degree, or employment in an associated profession.
The qualification therefore provides a postgraduate-level progression pathway for learners seeking further academic study or senior professional development. Admission to a particular university or Master's programme remains subject to the admissions, credit recognition and progression requirements of the receiving institution.
