About This Course
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is an undergraduate qualification awarded by the Euro American Institute (EAI), Malta. The programme is positioned at MQF/EQF Level 6 and is designed to develop broad business knowledge together with practical, analytical and managerial capabilities.
The programme covers leadership, finance, accounting, marketing, strategy, supply chain management, economics, business law, operations, sustainability, human resource management, entrepreneurship, customer relationship management, quantitative methods, environmental management, investment banking and independent business research.
The full programme carries 180 ECTS credits and is structured across six semesters. It also provides staged exit qualifications at 30 ECTS, 60 ECTS and 90 ECTS: Undergraduate Certificate in Business Administration, Undergraduate Diploma in Business Administration and Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Business Administration respectively.
Am I eligible for this programme?
Applicants for first-year entry are expected to meet one or more of the recognised Level 4 entry routes published by EAI, including:
- Matriculation Certificate at MQF Level 4, including the required Advanced and Intermediate Level subjects.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 34 points, including Mathematics and a business-related subject at the specified level.
- Five GCSE/IGCSE subjects together with three A-Level or AS-Level subjects at the required grades.
- A recognised high school diploma with relevant Advanced Placement examinations, or another international qualification assessed as equivalent to MQF Level 4.
- Recognition of Prior Learning may be considered in accordance with EAI policy where applicable.
English language competence is required. Accepted evidence may include English as a native language, IELTS 6.0, specified TOEFL scores, Cambridge Advanced English at grade C, Duolingo 110+, prior study delivered in English, or successful completion of EAI's internal English assessment. Applicants are also expected to possess basic digital competence for online study.

The Bachelor of Business Administration comprises 29 modules across six semesters. Most modules carry 6 ECTS credits, while the final Business Research Project carries 12 ECTS credits, giving a total of 180 ECTS.

Semester 2
Leading and Managing Teams | 6 ECTS
Examines leadership as a role and management as a function, helping learners understand how both contribute to effective team performance. The module develops knowledge of the skills and behaviours needed to lead and manage teams successfully.
Marketing for Managers | 6 ECTS
Develops an understanding of marketing planning and its application in different business contexts. Learners examine environmental analysis, marketing objectives and strategies that support improved operational marketing performance.
Principles and Concepts of Strategy | 6 ECTS
Introduces strategic analysis and decision-making as tools for achieving competitive advantage. Learners develop the ability to contribute to strategy formulation and implementation through research, analysis and interpretation.

Business Research Project | 12 ECTS
Provides the opportunity to undertake an independent research project on a business-related issue. Learners formulate a research question, apply appropriate research methods, analyse findings, evaluate their methodology and present evidence-based conclusions and recommendations.
Written Assignments
The EAI curriculum allocates assessment activity within each module and the programme culminates in a 12 ECTS Business Research Project. Assessment is therefore embedded throughout the programme and is designed to test the knowledge, skills and competencies developed within each module.
The curriculum information available for this programme does not state one fixed number of written assignments for the complete BBA. Assessment requirements are module-specific. The final Business Research Project requires independent research, analysis of findings, evaluation of the research methodology and presentation of the resulting conclusions and recommendations.
University Progression
Successful completion of the Bachelor of Business Administration results in an MQF/EQF Level 6 Bachelor's qualification carrying 180 ECTS credits. This provides an academic foundation for progression to postgraduate study at Level 7, including Master's programmes such as an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Admission to a particular Master's programme remains subject to the entry requirements, recognition policies and admissions decisions of the receiving institution.
