About This Course

The Bachelor of Business Administration (Level 6) (Top-up) is presented as a final-year completion pathway based on Semester 5 and Semester 6 of the Euro American Institute Bachelor of Business Administration curriculum. These two semesters comprise 60 ECTS and represent the final 60 ECTS of the full 180 ECTS Bachelor of Business Administration award.

The pathway develops higher-level knowledge in strategic human resource management, entrepreneurship, corporate and business law, customer relationship management, quantitative methods, environmental management, business operations and investment banking. Learners also complete a substantial 12 ECTS Business Research Project.

The full Bachelor of Business Administration is an MQF Level 6 qualification approved by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. The published EAI curriculum is a 180 ECTS Bachelor degree. The term Top-up is used here to describe completion of the final 60 ECTS through Semester 5 and Semester 6 and is subject to EAI accepting the learner's prior higher education credits towards the full award.

Am I eligible for this programme?

For this final-year Top-up pathway, applicants would normally need sufficient recognised prior higher education study to receive 120 ECTS of credit towards the 180 ECTS Bachelor of Business Administration.

  • Prior study should be in business, management or a sufficiently related discipline and must be accepted by Euro American Institute through its admissions and recognition of prior learning procedures.
  • Applicants must provide appropriate qualification certificates and transcripts so that prior learning and credit content can be reviewed.
  • Applicants must meet the Institute's applicable English language requirements for higher education study.
  • Admission to Semester 5 and Semester 6 remains subject to EAI confirming that the applicant has satisfied the prerequisite learning and credit requirements for entry to the final stage of the BBA.

The published BBA curriculum does not separately name a formal Top-up award. Entry to the final 60 ECTS therefore depends on EAI recognising sufficient prior learning towards the full 180 ECTS BBA.
